Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice

This English version is provided for information only. In case of any difference, the Turkish text prevails.

This notice explains how your personal data is processed when you visit the alicankaya.av.tr website and when you contact me by phone, WhatsApp or email. It has been prepared under Article 10 of Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.

There is currently no application or contact form on this website. If one is added, a separate information notice will be provided for it.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Special categories of personal data: I kindly ask you not to share special category information such as health, criminal convictions, religion or ethnic origin in your first contact, particularly by WhatsApp or email; we can discuss such information together at the meeting. Such data is processed only where one of the conditions listed in Article 6 of the KVKK exists, and only to the extent necessary.

4. Cookies and tracking

No cookies, advertising, analytics or visitor tracking tools are used for visitors to this website. Fonts, images and code are loaded from the website's own server; your visit is not reported to any third-party service. The "Download the card" feature on the digital business card creates the image in your browser; nothing is sent to the server.

Strictly necessary cookies are used only for office users who log in to the website's administration panel, to maintain the session and for security.

5. To whom personal data is transferred

About the WhatsApp and map links: The WhatsApp and "Directions" links on the website redirect you to the relevant service. Messages you send via WhatsApp may be processed on the service provider's servers, which may be located abroad, and are subject to that service's own privacy terms. Using WhatsApp is entirely optional; you may instead send an email, call by phone or meet in person at the office.

6. How long data is kept

Data whose retention period has expired is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Under Article 36 of Attorneyship Law No. 1136, an attorney may not disclose matters entrusted to them or learned in the course of their duties. The information you share with me is protected under this duty of confidentiality even if no attorney-client relationship is established.

You may submit requests concerning your rights, together with information identifying you, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller:

Your application will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible according to its nature and within thirty days at the latest; if the process requires an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. If your application is rejected, you find the answer insufficient or no answer is given in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 14 of the KVKK.
